It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andrew Spells Jr. (Orangeburg, South Carolina), who passed away on January 17, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Andrew Spells Sr. and Thelma Johnson Spells; and his siblings, Blondell Spells Ryant, Oscar, Jake and Hubert Spells.

He is survived by : his wife Lillian Cleckley Spells; his sons, Wayne Spells (Nellie) of New Jersey and Angelo Spells (Ernestine) of Brooklyn, NY; his grandchildren, Quincy Spells (Arika) and Corine Spells of Brooklyn, NY; his siblings, Lillian Spells Frazier of Orangeburg, SC and Gilbert; and his sisters-in-law, Thea Cleckley of Orangeburg, SC, Lucinda Spells of Orangeburg, SC and Betty Spells of Elmont, NY.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
