She was predeceased by: her parents, George Eugene Mitchum and Ethel Lean Shumpert Mitchum; and her siblings, Bessie Mae Mitchum Buzzard, Jessie Lee Mitchum Kyzer, George Edward "Country" Mitchum, Annette Lela Mitchum Birchmore, Anthony Leo Mitchum, Robert Alvin Mitchum and David Eugene Mitchum.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Eric and Johnathan; her children, Leona, Brenda, Rodney and Denise; her husband Louis "Denis" Mainprize; her children, Venus White, Victor White (April) and Charles "Anthony" White (Tracy); her grandchildren, Leona Messer (Colin), Brenda Friedrick (Ken), Rodney Mainprize and Denise Seaborn (Pat); her sister Margaret Earline Mitchum Kennerly; her sisters-in-law, Gloria Mitchum and Robin Mitchum; her grandchildren, Matthew Judy, Miranda White, Miah Smith (Michael), Dillon White and Preston White; her niece Lisa "Johnette" Jackson (Tony); and her friend Faye Folge (Danny). She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, twelve grandchildren by marriage, and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sunny Vista Church of God (3021 Dragstrip Rd, North, SC 29112).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Samaritan House of Orangeburg, South Carolina, which provides a safe and compassionate place for the unhoused members of our community.
