He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Etheridge and Jewel Johnson Etheridge; his wife Lorita "Pete" Etheridge; his son Brian Etheridge; his brothers, Marion W. Etheridge and A. W. Etheridge; and his grandson Joey Etheridge.
He is survived by: his sons, Paul Etheridge (Olive) and William Etheridge (Lisa); his grandchildren, Ryan Etheridge (Molly), Rachel Gentry, Austin, Dustin Etheridge (Lauren), Summer Etheridge, Timothy Etheridge, Andrew Etheridge and Hailey Etheridge; and his brother James Etheridge (Carolyn "Tina" Hall). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
