He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Rickenbaker Funchess; his parents, Heyward C. Funchess and Eloise Davis Funchess; and his son Chad V. Funchess. He is survived by: his children, David B. Funchess, Jr., Tracy F. Dibble (Robert) and April F. Muckenfuss (Todd); his brother Heyward "Darry" Funchess (Jane); his grandchildren, Buford F. Dibble, Elizabeth P. Dibble, C. J. Funchess, Bryson B. Funchess (Desi), Bridgett L. Muckenfuss, Connor W. Funchess and Timmons Muckenfuss; his great grandchild Baylor B. Funchess; and his close friend Betty Dantzler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
