He was predeceased by : his parents, Doris Judy and Sinclair Spence; his grandmother Louise; and his sisters, Beverly Harley of Orangeburg, Barbara Vanzego of Orangeburg and Wendy Kemmerlin of Orangeburg.

He is survived by : his stepgrandfather Pat DeMars, Sr. of Orangeburg; his children, Tracy Faile (David) of Norway and Chance Spence of Orangeburg; his grandchildren, Bo Faile (Madison) of Norway, Mackie Faile of Norway and Whit Faile of Norway; his children, Lexzi Spence, Lawson Spence, Lynnlee Spence of Orangeburg and Travis Spence, Jr. (TJ) of Eutawville; his sisters, Juanita Burdick of Myrtle Beach, Bonnie Williamson of Neeses and Margaret Hamilton of Orangeburg; and his uncle Pat DeMars (Linda) of Irmo. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
