We announce the death of Elouise Miller of Orangeburg, South Carolina, who passed away on August 18, 2026, at the age of 106. Elouise will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin McPherson and Julia Darby McPherson; her daughter Jo Ann Miller; her grandson Che McPherson; her husband Walter Sr.; and her siblings, Frizella Mayers, Harvey McPherson, Ben McPherson Jr., Phillip McPherson, Oneal McPherson, Lucille Pauling, Anna Julia Randolph and Catherine Carr-Randolph.
She is survived by: her son Walter Jr.; her sister Willie Mae Kendly; her children, Eugene, Vernon, Gregory, Melinda and Sherenelle; her grandchildren, Tiffany, Ebony, Alexis, Imani, Soibhan, Vernon, Jr., Michael II, Adam, Joshua, Trayvon and Josh; and her great great grandchild Elise McPherson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and children.
