He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gass and Rebecca Hall Gass; his stepmother Katherine Edwards Gass; his daughter Pamela Katrina; and his siblings, Edward, Eugene, John D., Marion, Clarence, Franklin Gass, Amanda Seabrooks, Gloria Paradise and Doris Spells.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Jenkins Gass; his son Hydrick Jr. (Sonia) of Orangeburg; his grandchildren, Joi Cobbs of Columbia, SC. and Corey Gass; his great grandchild Sharisse Pamela Gass of Vista, California; and his sisters, Rev. Janie Allen, Katheryn Branch of Cordova, SC and Dr. Barbara Bowman of Orangeburg.
