She was predeceased by: her parents, Newton P. Burke and Clay Champy Burke; her husband Timrod Ackerman; her daughter Wendy Hope Ackerman; and her sister Shirley Hughes Vaughn.
She is survived by: her daughter April A. Edwards (Hal); and her grandson Harry "Tripp" Edwards.
