It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John William Hicks of Orangeburg, South Carolina, born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on March 13, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his spouse Odelle Black Hicks; and his parents, William E. Hicks and Alma Kennedy Hicks. He is survived by : his daughters, Helen "Kay" Knepper (John) of Mt. Pleasant and Luanne Rodgers (Terry) of Charleston; and his grandchildren, Emily and Allen Knepper. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
