He was predeceased by : his parents, Leslie Wilson Irick, Sr. and Mary Netta Price Irick; his former life partner Irene Whetstone Irick; and his sister Maribelle Jenkins. He is survived by : his wife Julie Knotts Irick; his children, Beth Kuck (William) of Elloree and Chip Irick (Shirley) of Pelion; his stepchildren, David Bannister, Jr. (Hoang) and Lisa Winningham (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Anna Kate Kuck, Allison Bannister, Tripp Irick and Matthew Bessinger; his great grandchild Eli Irick; his sister Carole Greene; and his godchildren, Angela Shuler McMickingand, Scott Caffey and Ashlyn Caffey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. (1012 Whitman St SE, Orangeburg, SC 29115). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel (1012 Whitman St SE, Orangeburg, SC 29115).
