It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha O'Neal Shippey of Orangeburg, South Carolina, born in Pensacola, Florida, who passed away on January 27, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Dr. John Edgar Shippey, Jr.; her parents, Arthur Delmar O'Neal and Anna Vera Payne O'Neal; her husband A. F. While; her son Devin Shippey; and her brother Michael O'Neal.

She is survived by : her children, Christine Shippey, Jason Shippey, William Shippey (Julie) and Audrey Rose; her daughter-in-law Dr. Alison Leonard; her grandchildren, Mina Shippey, Georgia Shippey, Leo Shippey and Tilly Shippey; and her pet Happy. She is also survived by her family and friends.
