He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustus M. Whetsell and Nettie Jean S. Whetsell. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Boltin Whetsell; his children, Gus Whetsell (Misty) of Ft. Motte and Heather Secrist (Brett) of Florida; his grandchildren, Aidan Whetsell and Bodie Secrist; his sister Amy Proctor (Jewell) of Beaufort; and his nephews, Jeremy Griffith (Heidi) and Joseph Griffith (Tonya).
