She was predeceased by: her parents, Tallie Jeffcoat and Queenie Jeffcoat; her former husband Jacob Shelby Livingston; her husband James Benson "Bink" Smith; her daughter Delaine Livingston; her son-in-law Dennis Eugene McAlhaney; and her siblings, Willa Dean, Dorothy and Malcolm.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Danny McAlhaney (Danette), Dawn Rizer (Keith) and David McAlhaney (Kim); her great grandchildren, Jonathan Rizer (Samantha), Holly Shaarda (Nikki), Tallie (John), A. J., James and Allison McAlhaney; her great great grandchildren, John Mac Rizer and Dale McDowell; and her close friend David Farr.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to First Baptist Church at 1240 Russell Street, Orangeburg, S.C. 29115.
