It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Viola McMorris (Orangeburg, South Carolina), who passed away on November 1, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Glover's Funeral Home (2562 Charleston Hwy, Orangeburg, SC 29115). A wake was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church (310 Green St, Orangeburg, SC 29115).

“Mrs.McMorris was a stellar teacher of young children. She taught mine. She used creative techniques in all phases of teaching but especially in reading around and in the washtub of quilts. My daughter Whitney adored her and strived and soared under her guidance. We were Ward Members at Mt Pisgah Baptist Church where she worked diligent on educational projects to enhance young people. Rest with your boys my friend. With our deepest sympathy we will miss you. Mary Jordan, Rosa Worley and children”
