He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Phillips and Dorothy Gregory Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Linda Phillips; his children, Julie Jordan (Michael), Will A. Phillips Jr. (Patricia) and David P. Phillips (Meredith); his stepsons, Tarrell Barbare (Stephanie) and Tim Barbare (Chip); and his siblings, G. H. Phillips, Greg Phillips, Camilla Myers and Vonnie Jackson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home (1012 Whitman St SE, Orangeburg, SC 29115). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Southern Methodist Church (2456 Broughton St, Orangeburg, SC 29115).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
