He was predeceased by: his parents, Lula Garner Smith and Walter Robert Smith; and his wife Evie Wells Smith. He is survived by: his children, Cherie S. Luker (Tim) of Spartanburg, SC and Jeffrey Olin Smith of Pacolet, SC; his grandchildren, Heath Brown (Valeen), Elizabeth Stevens (Drew), Jeffery Smith and Taylor Luker (Megan); his great grandchildren, Will Brown (Kenslie), Ian Brown, Ethan Brown, Lillian Lawson, Everly Stevens and Penelope Stevens; his great great grandchild Natalie Martin; his brother Ned Smith (Audrey); and his close friend Jeanette Moore.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Brown's Chapel Baptist Church (350 Green St, Pacolet, SC 29373). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
