It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris McManus Deese (Pageland, South Carolina), born in Monroe, North Carolina, who passed away on October 4, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Jesse McManus and Azilee Watts McManus; her husband Bevin Bruce "Bookie" Deese; and her siblings, Ray McManus, J. Vonder McManus, Robert McManus, Leola West and Mert Tucker.

She is survived by : her children, Bruce and Vickie Little (Mike) of Marshville, NC; and her brother Jim McManus of Wadesboro, NC.
