It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Vander Deese of Pageland, South Carolina, who passed away on May 22, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison Baker and Annie Frances Robinson Deese; his wife Sandra Gainey Deese; and his siblings, Pete Deese, Bill Robinson, Francis Hilton and Eunice Roberts.
He is survived by: his children, Ashley Brian Deese (Sheri) of Chesterfield, SC and Wendy D. Steele (Trae) of Pageland, SC; his siblings, Genne Lee Deese (Dianne) of Pageland, SC, Annie Mae Faulkenberry (Carl) of Kershaw, SC and Shirley Griffin of Pageland, SC; his grandchildren, Hannah Mooneyhan (Justin) of Hartsville, SC, Kalei Childers (Kristopher) of Cheraw, SC and Jacob Aldridge of Pageland, SC; and his great grandchildren, Kennedy Ann Mooneyhan, Haven Mooneyhan and Easton Mooneyhan (Wendy Cahoon) of Jefferson, SC..
