We bid farewell to John M. Funderburk Sr. of Pageland, South Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 28, 2025 at the age of 84. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bon Funderburk and Lala Jenkins Funderburk; and his siblings, Brenda Bishop, Joanne Rowe, Helen Evans and Austin Funderburk.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Owens Funderburk; his son John "Mark" Funderburk, Jr. (Tara) of Pageland, SC; his granddaughter Autumn Bryant of Rock Hill, SC; and his siblings, Rita Lancaster of Luray, Dale Baxter of Duncan, SC and Kermit Funderburk (Shelby) of Lancaster, SC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Providence Baptist Church building fund or parking lot fund, 232 Providence Church Road, Pageland, SC 29728.
