He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Douglas McKain, Sr. and Michalina "Millie" Kullhawiec McKain; his wife Molly Curry McKain; his daughters, Michelle Byrd (Steve) of Cheraw, SC and Cheryl Alley (Joe) of Port St; his grandchildren, Lindsey Gainey (Brad) of Little Mountain, SC, Trey Alley (Sophia) of Fort Mill, SC, Tyler Alley (Bella Boone) of Sparks, GA and Clayton Byrd (Kaitlyn Stewart) of Columbia, SC; and his great grandchildren, Molly, Maggie, Marah Gainey, Presley and Harper Alley.
He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Sallie Berrie (Sonny) of Sumter, SC, Bonnie Thurman (Jimmy) of Las Vegas, NV and Betty Curry of Cheraw, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Curry Cemetery (1282 Chewning Rd, Patrick, SC 29584).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Legion Post 74, P.O. Box 124, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
