He was predeceased by: his parents, June Tucker and Ethel Starnes Helms; his wife Vickey Gulledge Starnes; his son Patrick Starnes; and his brother Gene Helms.
He is survived by: his son Justin Starnes (Ryan); his grandchildren, Bailee Martin and Aaden Starnes; his great grandchild Baylor Joy; and his brothers, Gerald Helms and Darrel Helms.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St. John Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery (1843 St John Church Rd, Patrick, SC 29584). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
