He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxie Gainey and Kate Heustess Gainey; and his wife Eleanore Barefoot Gainey. He is survived by: his son Ricky Gainey (Tina); his sister Patsy Dixon; his grandchildren, Christian Furco (Jonathan), Chelcie and Dalton Gainey; and his great grandchild Damon Furco.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 2227 Jordan Farm Rd, Patrick, SC 29584. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Brown Springs Baptist Church (14297 SC-102, Patrick, SC 29584).
