He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Ella Engel of Pawleys Island and Susan Braddy (Jay) of Dallas, Georgia; his grandchildren, Scott Engel of Marietta and Sarah Purcer (Kevin) of Fayetteville, Georgia; his great grandchildren, Emily Purcer, Laney Purcer and Sophie Engel; and his sister Lu Mottley (Jim) of Pawleys Island.
He requested no flowers or charitable donations in his name.
