With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Henryetta Carrington DeShields Callahan in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 5, 2025 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Carrington DeShields and Thelma Wilkerson DeShields; and her husband Craig Callahan. She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa, Cathy (Dave) and Lori (Tom); her grandchildren, Jillian (Drew), Sydney, Reilly, Craig, Maggie, Jack and Adelle; and her siblings, Harry, Richard and Anne. She is also survived by mother to her own daughters.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (2315 N Parham Rd, Henrico, VA 23229).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Memorial Fund, Dachshund Rescue organizations, or mental health initiatives—causes close to Dee's heart.
