He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Vernon and Ruby Gilbert McLean; his daughters-in-law, Margaret McLean and Evelyn McLean; and his grandson Matthew Briggs.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Ruth Hudkins McLean; his children, Troy Douglas McLean (Candice), Kurt Vernon McLean (April) and Angela Parnell (Donald); and his grandchildren, Brittaney Wray (Mike), Ashton Parnell, Brandon Parnell and Jessika Harris (Mark). He is also survived by great grandchildren.
