It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Wayne Johnson of Pelion, South Carolina, who passed away on March 23, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Gerald may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rock Johnson and Aizlee Johnson; and his siblings, Brenda Bartlett and David Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Karen Johnson; his son Troy Johnson (Mona); his grandchildren, Taylor Johnson (Hilary), Ali Batton (Freddie) and Cassidy Lee (Alex); his sister Gwen Luther (Richard); and his sister-in-law Linda Johnson. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
