It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Ruth Hudkins McLean of Pelion, South Carolina, who passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest O. Hudkins and Ethel Kineer Hudkins; her husband Douglas Vernon McLean; her daughters-in-law, Margaret McLean and Evelyn McLean; and her grandson Matthew Briggs.
She is survived by: her children, Troy Douglas McLean (Candice), Kurt Vernon McLean (April) and Angela Parnell (Donald); her grandchildren, Brittaney Wray (Mike), Ashton Parnell, Brandon Parnell and Jessika Harris (Mark); her great grandchild Paisley Wray; and her sisters, Judy Lorentz and Doris Hinesley.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sharon Crossroads Methodist Church. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
