With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gale Jacks (Pelzer, South Carolina), born in Laurens, South Carolina, who passed away on February 25, 2026 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Jefferson and Elizabeth Carley Jacks; and her siblings, Doris Davis, Freddy Jacks, Gerald Jacks and Tommy Jacks.
She is survived by: her children, Robin Schreiber (Mark), Laura Breton (Wayne) and Charles "Chuck" Griffith, Jr. (Lisa); her brother Don Jacks (Margie); her grandchildren, Will Taylor (Courtney), Morgan Edwards (Sam), Claire Griffith, Jacks Griffith, Jack Schreiber and Olivia Schreiber; her great grandchildren, Mary Katherine Taylor, Ben Edwards and Mason Taylor; and her close friends, Dianna Jacks and Johnny Lindsay.
