He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas and Pearl Watkins Tompkins; and his brother James Tompkins. He is survived by: his children, Stacy Darby, Shannon Tompkins and B. J. Tompkins (Tori); his grandchildren, Jennifer Griffin (Brandon), Jillana Darby (Nelson Lee), Jessica Tompkins, Breannah Barnes (Cory) and Braydan Tompkins; his great grandchildren, Emmelyn, Lathan, Chase, Harley, Oakley-Grae, Burkley, Rawlings, Gunnar, Tatum, Maddie, Tucker and Savannah; and his brother Herman Tompkins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the Gray Mortuary (52 Main St, Pelzer, SC 29669). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Gray Mortuary Chapel (52 Main St, Pelzer, SC 29669).
