He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Bennett and Genevieve Nalley Ellenburg Bunton; his former wife Janet Wigington Bunton; and his siblings, Jo Ann Bunton Davenport and Donnie Bunton.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Bunton Bowen (Ken) of Virginia, Ben Bunton of Piedmont and Brian Bunton of Conway; his wife Cynthia Bagwell Bunton; his grandchildren, Andrew Bowen of Virginia, Grace Bowen Skulimoski (Keith) of Florida and Gentry Bowen (Karl Bossard) of Japan; his brother Ray Bunton (MaryAnne) of Williamston; and his sister-in-law Mary Ann Duncan Bunton. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
