He was predeceased by: his father Earl Simmon Powell; and his sisters, Virginia Ann Powell and Ara Mae Powell. He is survived by: his mother Juanita Gilbert Powell; his wife Linda Davis Powell; and his sister Elizabeth Leopard (Michael). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Sullivan-King Mortuary (3205 N Hwy 81, Anderson, SC 29621). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (2323 N Hwy 81, Anderson, SC 29621).
