He was predeceased by: his wife Muriel Jeffcoat Black; his parents, Birdie Mae Fallaw Black and Erstin Enoch Black; his son Ron Black; and his siblings, Naomi "Butch" McCoy, Homer Black, Floy Black and Larry Fallaw.
He is survived by: his daughters, Monica Taylor (Travis), Donna Hoover (Ricky) and Terri Collins (Mike); his grandchildren, Dillon Taylor and Kyle Hoover; his great grandchildren, Charleston Taylor and Kael Hoover; his in-laws, Peggy J. Dillon, Linda J. Whitesides (Jerry) and John W. Jeffcoat, Jr. (Cindy); his friend Shep; Becky Sharpe. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
