He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Patterson and Nora Powell Patterson; and his siblings, Tom Patterson and Betty Broome. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Patterson; his children, Shane Patterson (Will) of Charlotte, Kevin Patterson (Patricia) of Spartanburg, Hunter Patterson (Ashley) of Honea Path, Aaron Patterson of Iva, Dustin Henderson (Mary-Kate) of Pickens, Shawn Henderson of Pickens and Jacob Ford (Larry) of Liberty; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Brandon (Courtney), Jimmy (Maddi), Alasia and Paizley-Rae; his great grandchildren, Caylee, Kenna, Jayden and Knox; and his brother Preston Patterson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
