She was predeceased by : her father Otis Boatwright; her husband Martin Wilbur Rood; her son Gerald Rood; and her siblings, Diane Hamma and Mike Boatwright.

She is survived by : her sons, Tony Rood (Anna) of Easley, Randy Rood (Lisa) of Easley and Scott Rood of Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Michelle Smith (Rob), Nikki Rood (Daniel), Christy Parker (Willie), Lynne Wilbanks and John Wilbanks (Casey); and her great grandchildren, Maddox Smith, Emberly Rood and Cameron Wilbanks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cedar Rock Baptist Church. 1667 Cedar Rock Church Rd. Easley, SC 29640.
