With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barry Phillips (Pickens, South Carolina), born in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on September 6, 2021 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde James and Gladys Miller Phillips; his grandson DeAndre Mansell; his siblings, Anthony Steven Phillips, Maxine Breazeale, Kenneth Phillips and Vickie Ann Phillips; and his brother-in-law Chuck Waters.

He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Phillips (Chris Gorham) of Clemson and Sarah Phillips Marlow (Sean) of Pickens; his adoptive daughter Gracey Merck; his stepchildren, Nathan Roper (Melissa) of Pickens, Kayla Merck of Central and Brandon Roper of Easley; his grandchildren, C. J. Gorham, Ithan Roper, Nevaeh Phillips and Savannah Moon; his granddaughter-in-law Katelyn Mansell of Liberty; his great grandchild Kaiden McKeithan; his siblings, Delores Chasteen (Larry) of Pickens, Gordon Phillips of Pickens, Becky Waters of Liberty, Greg Phillips (Joyce) of Easley and Joe Phillips (Lisa Bryant) of Pickens; and his brother-in-law Marion Breazeale of Pickens.
