It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bess Williams Swayngham (Pickens, South Carolina), born in Jackson, North Carolina, who passed away on April 13, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Patten Swayngham (Pat); her parents, Lewis H. Williams and Nellie W. Williams; her granddaughter Maggie Patten Cribbs; and her brother Truman Joe Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Tom Swayngham (Cathy) of Pickens and Mary Monroe (Charles) of Sunset; her grandchildren, Thomas Wade Monroe and Ada Ellen Monroe of Sunset; and her sister Mary Williams Hinkle of Salem. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pickens Presbyterian Church.
