It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Coleman Bowie of Pickens, South Carolina, born in Lowell, North Carolina, who passed away on December 7, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Coleman and Bertha McKinney Coleman; and her siblings, Rev. James Coleman, Sophia Pace, Wilma Gillespie and Ruth Morris.

She is survived by: her husband Charlton Bowie; her children, Timothy Bowie (Lisa) and Anita Finley (Greg); her granddaughters, Rachel Finley Norfleet (Trey) and Hannah Finley; and her great grandchild Odin Norfleet. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
