He was predeceased by: his father John Thomas; and his brother John Thomas Capps, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Johnnie "Fay" Capps of Liberty; his daughter Amanda Fernandez (John) of Phenix City, Alabama; his grandson John Luis Fernandez; and his sisters, Jeannie Smith (Cliff) of Phenix City and Linda Carpenter (Jimmy) of Stockbridge, GA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
