With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Brenda K. Yates (Pickens, South Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Brenda left this world on October 11, 2025 at the age of 74, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Gene Miller and Mary Sue Garrett Miller; her son Frankie Brooks; and her siblings, Jonell Kelley, Deborah Yates, Danny Williams, Lee Williams and Allen Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Brooks (Amy) of Pelzer, Tamatha Helton of Williamston and Libby Kelley (Eric) of Easley; her grandchildren, Charles Jr., Frankie Jr., Summer, Theresa, Ricky Jr., Kaitlyn and Star; and her sister Darlene King (Kevin) of Simpsonville. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Mountain View Funerals and Cremations - Pickens Chapel (105 Florence St, Pickens, SC 29671). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Greenville Memorial Gardens (7784 Augusta Rd, Piedmont, SC 29673).
