He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Newman and Margaret Newman; his former wife Barbara Newman; his wife Ollie Newman; and his son Wayne Newman.
He is survived by: his children, James Newman, Carol Newman (Carlos "Skip" Yowell), Wanda Maxey and Alvin Bailey; his grandchildren, Jessica Newman, Barbara Newman, Jessie Maxey, Samantha Bailey and Abbie Maxey; his daughter-in-law Eileen Newman; and his siblings, Claudia Laine (Yvan "Frenchie") and Kenneth Newman (Jeanne).
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Dillard Funerals and Cremation (2402 Gentry Memorial Hwy, Pickens, SC 29671). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM.
