She was predeceased by: her father Loonie Earl Meece; her husband Freeman Patterson Jr.; and her siblings, Dovie Whitmire, Dalice Sheppard, Daisy Meece and Earl Meece.

She is survived by: her children, Marsha Patterson (Bill Gravely) of Pickens and Mark Patterson (Carol) of Williamston; her grandchildren, Brandon Patterson (Jessica) of Anderson, Colin Patterson of Anderson and Morgan Davis of Greenwood; and her sisters, Ann Harvey of Gray Court and Ellen Gilstrap of Slater. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
