She was predeceased by: her parents, James Durke Carey and Evie Lee Osborn; her sisters, Jeanette Burkhalter and Betty DeLoache; her grandson Anthony "Tony" Smith; and her son-in-law Jim Wood.
She is survived by: her children, Shelia Morgan (Tony) of Easley, Randy Smith of Easley, Janet Cantrell (David) of Easley and Tracey Howard (Steve) of Easley; her grandchildren, Chad Sheriff (Stephanie), Brandy Peppers (Wes), Allen Cantrell (Jeannie), Derek Smith, Tiffany Christianson, Zachary Howard (Tiffany), Corey Smith (Stephanie), Kaitlyn Howard and Rebekah Howard; and her brothers, Larry Carey (Barbara) and Jimmy Carey (Glenda). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
