He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Pettie Maddox and Edna Hughes Maddox; his brother Donald Heyward Maddox; and his siblings-in-law, Dale Burnett, Doug Burgess Sr. and Betty Burgess.
He is survived by: his wife Kookie Maddox; his children, Tammy Maddox Dumit (Tony), Stephanie Maddox Streblow (Steve) and Austin Byrd Marshall (Eryn); his grandchildren, Kendall Nicole Dumit, Blaire Madison Dumit, Josh Streblow (Heather) and Michael Streblow (Anastasia); his siblings-in-law, Ann Maddox, Evangeline Burnett, Debbie Burnett and Terry Burnett; his nieces and nephews, Jeffrey Maddox (Ashley), Tracy Burnett, Doug Burgess Jr. (Shirley), Jenny Avant (Wayne), Lisa Ivey, Wendy Hinojosa (Pete), Ashley Trotter and Danielle Anglin (David); and his great grandchildren, Kyvin Streblow, Jayden Streblow, Curry Marshall, Sutton Streblow and Stevie Streblow.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Abiding Peace Lutheran Church (401 Batesville Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29681).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warriors Project (woundedwarriorsproject.org).
