He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dodgens and Kathleen Bailey Dodgens; his daughter Angela Turner (Jamie Hamilton); and his siblings, Stanley Dodgens, Faye Drummond and Wilma Trotter.
He is survived by: his daughter Lois Porter (Stanley); his grandchildren, Justin Porter of Liberty and Camie Turner of Jasper, Georgia; and his sister Doris Ann Pennington of Tennessee. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
