It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Freida Darlene Wilson Gantt (Pickens, South Carolina), who passed away on June 29, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Wilson and Mary Wright Wilson; and her child Angel LaDonna Gantt. She is survived by: her siblings, Dennis Wilson (Pat) of Easley, Brad Wilson (Sonia) of Easley and Dianne Wilson Mercer (late Ron) of Greenwood; her nieces, Brandy Wilson of Pickens and Danelle Freeman of Greenwood; her friend Karen Searcy Nalley (late Mike); and her goddaughter Kasi Nalley Jenkins (Pam Dillard).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Freida's honor may be made to Manna Post Acute, 716 E Cedar Rock St, Pickens, SC 29671.

“Freida and I were good friends at Easley Junior and Easley High. We had so many fun times in school. Whenever we would see each other out we would talk forever it seemed like. Freida was truly an Angel here on earth. When Freida loved you she loved you through and through and you couldn't help but love her the same way. She was so talented writing songs. She sent me a few to read. She loved her work family and patients. She is now with Angel that she missed so much. God be with the family!”
