He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander (Dixie Lee Davis Simpson) and Glen. He is survived by: his siblings, Jeanette, Katherine "Katie" Yates (LaRue) and Craig Simpson (Birdie). He is also survived by four nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and one great-nephew.
