He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Lanford Smith Reeves; his parents, Fields Reeves and Sarah Breazeale Reeves; and his siblings, Edna Reeves Cox, Etta Mae Reeves McRee, Thelma Louise Reeves Fletcher, Edward Reeves, Charles Reeves, Carl Reeves, Adolphus Marvin Reeves and Talmadge Eugene Reeves.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Dennis Steven Smith, Janis Beatrice Hoffman and Joanna Lynn Smith. He is also survived by eight step-grandchildren and five great step-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
