He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Bonner and Effie Mae Gibson Franks; his son Homer Burrell Franks Jr.; and his siblings, Mildred Franks Worley, Alfred Franks, Adger Franks, Thomas "Tommie" Franks, Dennis Franks, Doyle Franks and Artis Franks.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ruth Franks; his daughter-in-law Florence Franks of Seneca; and his granddaughter Betty J. Rogers (Robin) of Seneca. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.
