He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Alton Powell and Francis Marie Powell; and his sister Rebecca Jane Allen. He is survived by: his wife Linda Gail Powell; his children, Greta Fields, Nikie Stephens (Kenneth), Michelle Anders (Crystal Hart) and Mich Powell; and his siblings, Billy Joe Powell, Martha Bagwell and Priscilla "Pat" Durham (Mike). He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
