He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Mitchell Morgan and Lois May Reeves Morgan; and his brother Jody Morgan. He is survived by: his wife Helen Morgan; his children, Mitch Morgan of Pickens and Melissa Morgan of Pickens; his grandchildren, John Morgan, III, Tim Morgan, Nicholas Morgan, Mat Morgan and Anna Morgan; and his brother Frank Morgan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in John's honor may be made to Antioch Baptist Church, PO Box 602, Pickens, SC 29671.
